Brian Gerald Snitker born on October 17, 1955, is the manager of the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He is an American professional baseball coach and former player (MLB). Snitker has worked for the Braves in various capacities since 1977 when he was a member of their minor league organization. In 2016, he took over as their manager.
Richard F. Snitker and Catherine (Collins) Snitker raised Snitker in Decatur, Illinois. He was born in Macon, Illinois, and attended Macon High School, where he was a member of the 1971 baseball team as a right fielder.
Snitker was released by the Braves in 1980, but he stayed with the team as a roving instructor until 1982, when he was hired as a minor league manager for the Anderson Braves, where he led the team to its only winning season during its five-year stay in Anderson, prior to actually moving to the Durham Bulls the following season.
