What is Easter?

Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

It is described as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ onto the cross and how he was able to rise from the dead after being buried for three days after on Calvary in c. 30 AD.

The event is marked on Sunday, April 17, 2022 and is been celebrated with  Church services, festive family meals, Easter egg decoration, and gift-giving.

Some observations like Prayer, an all-night vigil and sunrise services are been done as part of the commemorating events to remember the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Easter is often a public holiday. As Easter always falls on a Sunday, many countries in the world also recognize Easter Monday as a public holiday.
